Donghu |
Donghu (Chinese: 东胡; pinyin: Dōnghú; literally "eastern hu"), was an ancient nomadic tribe or tribal union in Northeast China. It was once the dominant power in Mongolia before being defeated by the uprising of the Xiongnu. Afterwards, it split into two parts: Xianbei and Wuhuan.
According to historical records, the Hu rulers wore headdresses of gold knowns as huguan, and gold-decorated belts known as a hudai.
